The Election Elaboration Act, which was written by former Councilor of Justice Masconvia last year, instituted an official week-long “election season.” Some thought of that election season’s timespan as too short, which is why Baaas wrote the REEA. It is intended to expand and give more detail to the election season. The “Repeal Election Elaboration Act” Act, drawn up by the Minister of Interior Affairs, Baaas, was not as important as Maur’s bill but will have some consequences of its own. “Embassy Requirements” passed in the Regional Assembly 14-2 on April 25th, 2021. The bill also stated that an embassy must be constructed by the Minister of Foreign Affairs in consultation with the Chief Minister and a foreign representative and that an embassy must be removed if declared unstable, couped, inactive, or with a nation count below the required amount. Many argue that, since the region was founded based on the ideals of freedom of speech and expression, the embassies we construct should reflect that. The bill set out a few standards for Layem’s embassies, which reflected the general public’s thoughts about the issue. It addresses the issue of what regions to construct embassies with, and which regions to avoid. The “Embassy Requirements” Act, drawn up by the Chief Minister, is one of the most consequential bills of the last few terms. Since I haven’t covered this topic in much depth in recent issues, the time has come to report on it. Many bills have been passed in the Regional Assembly so far in the term, and many are to come. What's Been Going On in the Regional Assembly The question I leave you with, now, is this: will the transition between WA delegates be smooth this time, or will Ben become the next Preussterreich? He was even a Regional Officer for a bit. He then proceeded to make a name for himself in the region, becoming Chief Minister for one term and Minister of Interior Affairs for two terms. This gives him much more experience in the actual game than most Layemese. According to himself, he joined the site 3 years ago.
Like many, though, he didn’t join NationStates during the Drewpocalypse. He is a well-liked individual with (3?) government positions in the last year.”īenderk joined Layem in April, with the huge wave of nations entering the region that month, dubbed as the “Drewpocalypse” by NationStates players. In a statement via telegram, as a justification, Layem said, “Benderk has proven this last year that he is loyal to our Confederacy and only wants to improve our strength and capability as a region. This announcement comes 10 hours after Lyrakia was appointed WA delegate by raiders, meaning that the position has been held by 3 different people today. This is the first time since July that a citizen other than Layem has been appointed WA delegate. On May 12th, former WA Delegate and founder of the Confederacy of Layem Layem appointed Benderk as our new delegate.
